Create the industries served by your layout. Add them yourself or use the optional directory import below. Imported entries are editable copies.

New industry

Details

Off-layout industries are represented by traffic through their selected interchange. Configure interchange locations and tracks in Operating Locations.

Add as many products as needed, one per line. Remove a line to remove a product. Commas stay part of the product name.

Optional model kit details (web only; not printed).

Tracks / spots

Add each loading or unloading track or spot separately. Capacity is the number of cars it can hold. For a sawmill, add a 3-car loading track for lumber and sawdust and a 3-car unloading track for logs and diesel. Use the product lists above for products not yet assigned to a spot.

Card preview

Save and select an industry to preview its card. Print at 100% scale with browser headers and footers off, or choose Save as PDF. Cards are 4 inches wide and expand to include all tracks and products. Print all packs as many full-width industry cards as fit on each portrait Letter page, two across. Longer cards may require an additional page.

Import from the real industry directory

Choose a region, search, and select an entry to fill a new industry form. Adjust its town and track to match your layout, then Save. The reference directory stays separate from your layout.

Set filters before loading or refine the results afterward. The same filters apply to both.
